Puppies

By now most of you know that I have a brand new job, started just last week, and I couldn’t be happier! It’s a small advertising agency full of very talented, creative people and it’s IN CRONULLA. That’s right. Goodbye 1 1/2 hour commute, hello daylight and a personal life!

But despite how lucky I’m feeling about this new gig, I’m insanely jealous of Anita Peeples, pet photographer. I stumbled across her Hotdog Photography website and blog today and clicked through every single image she has ever posted. Stalker. I know….but she is downright amazing. And pretty much has the best, most funnest-est job ever.

So I thought to myself ….. after Sam said “Why don’t you do that?”…. “Why don’t I do that?!”

It’s time to get serious about my photography dreams, people! So…if you are anywhere near Sydney reading this blog and have an adorable pet you’d like photographed, please email me at lisa.dieder@gmail.com for a free first session!

My New Camera

I mentioned before that I had such a special birthday down at Mollymook with my parents and Sam. But I haven’t said yet how amazing my birthday surprises were! Sam really went all out and definitely blew me away with his thoughtfulness.

The first surprise was a video that he put together of some of my closest friends sending birthday messages to me! It was one of the sweetest and funniest things I’ve ever seen and cried from happiness and belly laughter through the entire thing. I can’t thank all of you enough!!

And then he brought out the big guns with a new waterproof camera!! I hope you’re all ready for me to be obsessed because IT. IS. AWESOME.

Under the waves…

I do have to give some of the photo credit to Sam on these. He was much better at taking the photos at the right time in the waves, whereas my little Indiana butt was better at trying not to drown.

We did have some fun after the photoshoot though…and I was surprised to catch a few waves on the bodyboard!

The difference between an Aussie and a Midwesterner….ON the wave….BEHIND the wave. Wah wah….

He’s a pro at body surfing too…

But hey! Look who caught a wave! I swear it was bigger at first…this is at the end. Haha, but LOOK at my face. Geez. What a nerd.

Da Aminals

I absolutely LOVED the zoo as a kid. My poor parents couldn’t possibly take me there enough as far as I was concerned. And for those that know me well, this isn’t a surprise considering my obsession with every animal…ever :)

Anywho, I figured it would be appropriate to drag my parents to the zoo on their last day here…just for old time’s sake. Pretty sure they loved it though!

Mollymook Sunsets

I was so lucky to get to spend my birthday down at Mollymook with views like this! It was a beautiful day and I can’t thank my family, friends and Sam enough for making it so special :)

Royal National Park

Sam took the day off of work to spend a sunny day with us in Royal National Park! We started off driving through Bundeena and then stopped at Jibbon Beach. From there we went on a little bushwalk along the river to see some really old Aboriginal carvings and eventually the ocean, complete with whales. Sigh….

That’s Cronulla across the river…
