Last weekend Sam and I spent the weekend in Mollymook with some great friends. It was the type of weekend you look forward to for a while and build up really huge expectations for – but then it totally meets and exceeds all of them and you don’t want to have to go home. Ever.
So Sam and I drove down on Friday afternoon, getting there just in time to go for a late afternoon swim. The sun was setting, the waves were insanely fun and we spent over 2 hours out there body surfing, swallowing salt water and collecting as much sand in our hair and suits as we possibly could!
He’s such a pro…
But I’m getting pretty good myself! (Haha, the excitement on my face totally gives me away. Such a nerd. And I’m pretty sure I got dumped by this one.)
Siiiiiiiiiick!
On Saturday we went to our fave brekky spot, Pilgrims and then drove a bit further down the coast for the boys to check out a surf spot. “The Hook” as they call it. Us ladies were keen to get out in the water as well, but we knew it would take a little motivation because the waves were pretty big. About 10 minutes into sunning ourselves on the beach the boys were yelling and pointing out in the water (Oh God, shark?! Please don’t eat them!) but about 50 meters out we spotted the pod of dolphins they were all excited about. So we grabbed our boards and tried to make it out in time. But remember how I said the waves were big? Yeah, and there were rips. Soooooo that didn’t really happen. But dolphins! Seriously, what is my life?!

Action shot! Next time we’ll try to get a couple of us actually surfing :)
